THE FIGHTS ARE ALMOST HERE! LESS THAN TWO HOURS UNTIL THE HOGGMAN IS BACK!!!!!!!!

THIS IS HOW IT MUST HAVE FELT WAITING FOR THE MOON LANDING!

6 Round Main Event

Tonight's main event between heavyweight stars is scheduled for six grueling rounds. 6 rounds. I think you all need to take that in. Do you realize just how long that is? That's 18 minutes total. With the pace that these two warriors are going to be going at it's comparable to mowing your lawn with a push mower, walking to the store and carrying your groceries back instead of driving, or taking the garbage out to the end of the curb three times back to back to back. It's safe to say that these guys are putting it all on the line. Who goes six rounds at a pace like that? A legend, a greek god, A HOGGMAN! It's on......it is totally on.

The Weigh Ins

When John Sargent was seen walking up to his room with five to-go boxes some of us had to wonder if the man was having trouble making the heavyweight limit. The weigh in room was filled with anticipation as the Hoggman stepped on the scale.................250 lbs. The main event IS ON!

All seven fights are ready to go somehow. Nick Whiting and Ben Lane are on weight and ready to give Minnesota fight fans exactly what they have been waiting for.

John Sargent captivated the boxing public at the weigh ins by hinting at plans of an extravagent entrance.

The Day Before: Setting Up

It's odd to see such a high profile boxer such as John Sargent helping set up the ring like I'm seeing right now. Perhaps this legend of Minnesota boxing is just that eager to return to the ring in his much anticipated battle against Ritchie Goosehead.

You can feel the anticipation build even in this empty ballroom. I can feel it in my pants as well. To think that in just over 24 hours, arguabley the greatest heavyweight boxer in Minnesota history will be stepping in the ring to do battle once again. It's almost too much to handle.

Sargent, who glides effortlessly across the floor of the ballroom has a certain confidence about him. This is a man who can barely walk across the casino floor without being mauled by fans. It's hard to imagine how this man can even live a normal life with all the attention he surely receives from his adoring fans.

While writing this my hands are shaking a bit. I've had to type some sentences over and over thinking that, "Hey, it's here. This really is happening. John Sargent is back."
